Following the sad passing of Mike Gibson recently. Mike's family have kindly expressed their wish for us to set-up an in-memorium page for Mike, so his friends and family can leave a donation in his memory to The Queen Mother Theatre.
MIke was a big part of the society, The Bancroft Players, that owns and runs the theatre. Mike was an active member when the Players were at St Annes Hall, both acting and working behind the scenes. He was enthusiastic and active especially when the theatre was first built over 40 years ago. He was a core part of our set and stage crew, helping construct many of the amazing sets and particularly worked on the electrics for the theatre itself.
The theatre and the Players were an important part of Mike and his late wife Daphne’s lives. The Queen Mother Theatre is committed to inspiring and educating its members and the local community in the art of live performance and all the elements that go to putting on a show.
Your kind donation, in memory of Mike, will enable us to continue that work and ensure we can continue to bring live theatre to the local community in and around Hitchin.
