When his brother dies under mysterious circumstances in a car accident, London gangster Jack Carter travels to Newcastle to investigate.

Regarded as one of the top 10 British films of all time the themes and issues are as relevant today as they were in 1971 when Hodges and Caine decided to make a gritty and realistic British gangster film.

It also has a fantastic sound track.

An identical, terrifying dream haunts Londoners in the midst of economic gloom and ineffective protest. Whilst the prime minister considers a preventative war, a young man returns home with a vision of the future.

Coincidences, omens and visions collide with a political reality in this epic play by the award-winning Mike Bartlett. Set in a dark and magical landscape, it depicts a London both familiar and strange: a London staring into the void.
